If you have a long busy day the last thing you want to do is cook dinner that takes a long time. It is times where you want something comforting but does not want to go spend a lot of money at a fast food joint or restaurant.
So you may want to wonder what is there to cook, well have no fear I got your back.
This is my go to recipe when I am either craving chicken strips or want a hot meal that does not take a long time to cook. The great thing about this recipe is that it does not have an age limit, everyone in the house will love this recipe from the adults to the children.
INGREDIENTS
Boneless chicken tenderloins or boneless chicken breast
Season (whichever you use to season your chicken)
Milk
2 Eggs
Flour
Grease
Put the eggs in a bowl and stir in some milk, about a cup (this is the cheaper method of buying buttermilk). In another bowl (or plastic bag) put the flour in.
Pour the oil into the pan or deep fryer (about 375 or 400 degrees) to allow it to heat up. If you purchased chicken breast then you need to cut the chicken into strip forms.
Season the chicken to your liking, for me I use season salt and Lawry’s.
I then dip the strips into the bowl of eggs and milk (or buttermilk), then into the flour and repeat.
Put the strips into the fryer and cook for around 15 to 20 minutes, or until the skin is brown (I like mine crispy so I keep it in longer) and the inside is no longer pink.
Take the strips out and place on a rack or towels to allow the excess oil to come off and to cool off.
Make whatever side you want, and voila you are done.
EXTRA EXTRA: The wonderful thing about this recipe is that you can use it with regular chicken (drums wings or breast) if you want the crispier skin.
